The Challenge

The specification

Following initial consultation with the client, our team quickly established the need to design and build a new, contemporary website that moved away from its tired, bespoke system to a more flexible Magento-powered platform. Magento was cited to give the client the ability to integrate fully with their Opera system in the future, once their new website can accept payments.

In terms of the customer experience, our designers were encouraged to make the new website easier to navigate, presenting products in a more desirable fashion. The new website needed to exceptionally visual, helping prospective and existing clients to buy in to design concepts.

The Result

A streamlined digital platform

The client’s old bespoke platform was unintuitive for clients and bloated for internal staff, making it hard to stay on top of on-site product management. The new Magento platform has helped the client to halve the number of products listed. Previously, the client had to have each individual colour of a table or chair listed. Now, users can land on a specific product page and choose the colour they desire from one primary product page.

Flexible content management for improved site visibility

The client’s switch to the Magento platform also allows them to operate a regularly-updated blog and latest news section. This will be a very useful tool for the client in the future, keeping clients up-to-date on product developments whilst improving the brand’s visibility in major search engines such as Google and Bing.
