Unity Online expands business development team for the next stage of its growth curve
One of Suffolk’s fastest growing full-service digital agencies is embarking upon the next stage of its growth curve, following the appointment of a new head of business development to enhance the agency’s connections and exposure across the eastern region.
Scott Barton was recently appointed Unity Online’s head of business development, boasting nearly two decades of digital marketing expertise, spanning digital agencies and the UK’s leading sponsored advertising directories.
Scott, who worked for several years alongside Unity Online founder, Alex Pattenden at an East Anglian digital agency, is enthused about the prospect of working on behalf of an ambitious agency that puts the right digital solutions for clients ahead of profit.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to be part of a dedicated, customer-focused, growing agency where the client always comes first,” said Scott.
“To work for an agency that truly understands the benefits of client experience is extremely refreshing.
“It doesn’t pay to shoehorn digital services into clients where they’re not needed, just for the sake of it. The real skill of a digital agency is to recommend and deploy targeted digital strategies that have a genuine impact on clients’ bottom lines.”
Scott’s appointment will see him work with the agency’s three-strong business development team. The move will also allow the agency’s founder, Alex Pattenden, the chance to focus on other areas of the business as it continues to grow.
Alex is delighted to welcome his former colleague to enhance the agency’s complement of digital specialists; cultivating new leads while exceeding expectations for existing clients on the agency’s roster.
“Ultimately, clients still want the same things they have always wanted – to be taken care of,” said Alex.
“I’ve known and worked with Scott for many years. He is well-respected by his peers and has a drive and passion to deliver first-class results for clients.
“Scott’s appointment is another vital cog in our client experience wheel, designed to implement the right tools and processes to maintain client confidence and exceed expectations wherever possible.”
Scott is one of three new full-time employees in recent weeks, bringing Unity’s in-house team of digital specialists to 22.
Unity Online is working hard to foster a client experience culture throughout all aspects of the agency, reducing client churn and providing long-term value to digital brands.
The launch of its new digital client portal, My Unity Online, has helped to centralise the performance of digital campaigns and interactions between account managers and clients. The ultimate goal is to make it easier for clients to understand and report internally on the effectiveness of their digital marketing investments.
