This weeks Q&A Employee Spotlight is on Abbie Colegate who joined us in July as a Content Administrator. Abbie makes sure that blog and landing page content is produced for every client. Abbie briefs copywriters for each content piece and makes sure content standardisations have been adhered to when the content is QA’d. She then implements the content onto the clients websites.

Abbie joined Unity Online straight from finishing university. She had previous experience in marketing through an internship with a digital marketing agency and research experience through working as a Graduate Admissions Compliance Intern at University.

How would you describe the culture and working environment at Unity?

I would describe the working environment as friendly and very supportive. Everyday is always busy with lots to do. It’s a really fun environment to work in with opportunities to learn and develop.

What are three things you’d love to learn this year?

I’d love to learn more about SEO and work alongside the SEO consultants on a few clients, the implementation of different landing pages and social media plans and scheduling.

What are 3 words to describe Unity?

Friendly, collaborative and motivating

You’re having a TV marathon this weekend. Which box set would you choose and which snacks would you provide?

The box set would have to be Suits. There’s 9 seasons and I’ve watched 8. It’s so good I don’t want it to end but I’d have to finish the rest of that. For snacks, it would have to be pizza, Thai sweet chilli crisps and definitely some chocolate.

Do you have a favourite quote?

“No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up”

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would have to be either a Chinese or a roast dinner, and if I can have a dessert, then chocolate fudge cake!

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

The first thing I’d buy would be a house. Then I’d get a new car and treat myself to a holiday somewhere hot. So I obviously wouldn’t have to win too much?

Any random facts you could share with us?

When I was younger I used to play tennis practically all the time. Every weekend I’d be somewhere playing in a competition. I was ranked 9th in Suffolk for my age category.
