This week, our Q&A is with Angela Balaam who joined us as Studio Manager at the start of lockdown #2 in November. Angela joined us with over 20 years’ experience working in various marketing agencies in Suffolk as a Designer and Studio Manager. “Over the years I have specialised in print and publishing as a creative and my natural organisation skills have led to project managing and customer service. I enjoy being part of a team and helping clients achieve their goals.”

Tell us about your average day at Unity

An average day at Unity involves processing new orders and any service amends along with updating schedules. Liaising with the team and clients to help with any queries that occur during the day. I also help oversee various operation procedures to help keep things running smoothly.

What are three things you’d love to learn this year?

  • Meditation and yoga (I can do some basic moves, I’d love to learn more)
  • More about SEO and the world of digital
  • How to make a bakewell tart
  • Plus: How to keep little ones happy at home during a pandemic

What are three words to describe Unity?

Progressive, focused and knowledgeable.

You’re having a TV marathon this weekend. Which box set would you choose and which snacks would you provide?

I would choose Line Of Duty (from the very beginning to get ready for the new series which should begin soon in 2021). The snacks would be barbeque flavour Popchips and some Maltesers for afters.

Any random facts you could share with us?

Rainbows can exist at night, they are called a moonbow (or a lunar rainbow) and are produced by moonlight rather than sunlight. They are a rare atmospheric phenomena that occur when the moon’s light is reflected and refracted off water droplets in the air.

Do you have a favourite quote?

I have two:

1 – “Work hard and be kind”

And

2 – “Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.” Stephen Hawking

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

I would like to be an astronaut and walk on the moon (I would love to see planet Earth from afar) and experience floating around in zero gravity. The stargazing would be amazing, especially on the far side of the moon.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A bowl of strawberries with some cream.
