Web Developer – Role Overview

Due to rapid expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Web Designer / Front-end Developer to join one of Suffolk’s fastest growing digital marketing agencies based on the outskirts of Ipswich. We are a growing team of 35 and looking to add a designer/developer to our Web team.

Responsibilities

• Working with senior developers using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create pixel-perfect, user-friendly websites, A/B tests and other digital experiences
• Helping to optimise agency and client websites for maximum speed, performance and user experience across all devices and browsers
• Supporting clients and Technical SEO team with web development activity and troubleshooting
• Proactively maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, coding practices and opportunities for own development

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound ability in at least some of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL and PHP
• Eagerness to learn and grow
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Experience of developing custom WordPress themes
• Plesk, SSH server administration
• An understanding of version control i.e Git
• Experience of Quality Control or Browser Testing
• Knowledge of Figma
• 2+ years experience, ideally in an agency environment
• Custom WordPress Blocks
• ACF Pro
