Q&A Employee Spotlight – Larissa West

This weeks Q&A Employee Spotlight is with Larissa West who joined us in February as a Web Designer.

Larissa studied Graphic Design and Studio Art at University and worked as a Graphic Design Intern for an in-house marketing department. After graduating in 2017, Larissa joined a Suffolk agency as a Junior Designer, working on a range of print and digital collateral for the retail industry. After a couple of years, Larissa moved on to become a Designer for a print and merchandising company where she worked with licensed brands such as Peppa Pig, WWF and Moomin.

Tell us about your average day at Unity

Everyday is different, which is great! But you’ll usually find me in…

1) A consultation with a client, going through the brief for their new website

2) Figma wireframing and designing new websites

3) Presenting new website designs to clients

Who would be your dream client and why?

Walt Disney World so that I could go and visit… strictly for research purposes only of course!

What are three things you’d love to learn this year?

Anything and everything UI/UX related, animation and 3D design

Describe what you were like at age 10

Chunky and definitely not funky… I never really got the hang of how to use Heeleys and instead spent way too much time on MSN.

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

A pink doughnut with sprinkles, my dogs and a volleyball named Wilson.

What is the first concert you attended?

S Club 7!

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

The sensible response would be to pay off my mortgage but I really want a Jeep Wrangler

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

A dried mealworm. Yum.
